Dr. Kristen Gibilisco DMD, FAGD, FICOI

Dr. Kristen Gibilisco is a dentist near Burlington known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach. Her interest in dentistry began at age 16, when her father successfully treated her unexpected TMD pain. That experience inspired her desire to help others in the same meaningful way.

Driven by a passion for patient care, Dr. Kristen recognized that a career in oral health would allow her to build long-lasting relationships while improving smiles and easing discomfort. She graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University in 2009 with a degree in biology, then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in 2014. Following dental school, she completed an AEGD residency, where she gained advanced training in procedures such as wisdom tooth extraction, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and dental implant placement.

Since then, Dr. Kristen has completed more than 500 hours of continuing education and earned Fellowship status from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She is currently working toward achieving AGD Mastership. She is also an active member of Spear Education and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Additionally, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) recognizes her as a “master injector,” a distinction earned through more than 100 hands-on courses in Botox, dermal fillers and PDO thread treatments. She is currently training to be a mentor and educator in the AAFE!

Outside the office, Dr. Kristen enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Dr. Mike, and their son, Sebastian. She also loves running, soccer, ski racing, skiing, wakeboarding, hiking, traveling, and boating.

Dr. Mike Gibilisco DMD

As a caring and expert dentist in Burlington, Dr. Gibilisco, or “Dr. Mike” as he is known, always knew he wanted to work in healthcare. While his original plan was to become a doctor, he witnessed how happy his orthodontist was when helping his patients achieve straighter, healthier smiles.

Dr. Mike knew dentistry was the right career path after shadowing several dentists and working as a dental tech in an oral surgeon's office.

This led him to graduate summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Social, Scientific, and Business Studies of Health from the University of Connecticut. He then enrolled at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Mike's educational pursuits led him to complete a General Practice Residency program at Danbury Hospital.

Although his formal education is behind him, his days of learning are not over. He regularly attends continuing education courses through the Spear programs and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Vermont Dental Association, the American Academy of Clear Aligners, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

When he's not in the office, you'll find him with his wife, Dr. Kristen, and their son, Sebastian. Dr. Mike is very close to his patients and younger brother, and he also enjoys skiing, hiking, running, kayaking, and being on the water. He also likes spending his time cooking, traveling, going to concerts, playing the drums, and engaging in a game of soccer when he can.

Why Are You Looking for a Dentist Near Burlington?

We can provide a wide variety of treatments here at our dental office near Burlington. Some of them might be more or less what you would expect, but Dr. Kristen and Dr. Mike’s unique skillset enables us to offer additional options you don’t usually see at most general practices! Take a look and let us know how we can best help you smile.

I Need a Checkup & Cleaning

We’re all about elevating the dental experience, so a routine checkup and cleaning at our office will probably be a bit different than what you might be used to! Before getting started, we’ll get a hot stone and warm neck wrap to help you relax and feel more at ease. Dr. Kristen or Dr. Mike will visually examine your teeth for concerning symptoms, report their findings directly to you, and then let one of our talented hygienists take over for your cleaning.

I Want to Enhance My Smile

Helping you feel more confident with your smile is one of our favorite things to do! Cosmetic dentistry treatments like porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, and direct bonding can be incredibly rewarding for patients wanting to enhance their dental aesthetics. If you’re interested in a more comprehensive makeover, you’ll be glad to know we also offer Invisalign, BOTOX, and dermal fillers.

I Have a Cavity/Broken Tooth

Then you’ll likely be needing a dental filling or crown. This isn’t exactly something most people want to hear, but there’s a silver lining – or rather, a porcelain lining! At Elevate Dental, you can choose bright gold materials for your restoration, or opt for a more natural look with porcelain or zirconia. Thanks to CEREC, we can have your permanent and fully customized crown ready in just one day!

I Am Missing One or More Teeth

Our dental bridges can seamlessly replace one or more teeth missing in a row. Partial and full dentures, meanwhile, have been a reliable option for more extensive tooth loss for centuries. If you’d like something a little more modern, we could instead fill your smile gaps with a dental implant crown, bridge, or denture. Schedule a consultation, and we’ll gladly help you determine which restoration is best for you!

I Want to Straighten My Smile

Great news – we provide Invisalign! Instead of having metal brackets and wires cemented to your teeth, you’ll simply wear a set of clear, removable trays for 22 hours per day. Patients love Invisalign as an orthodontic solution because it tends to be more comfortable and convenient than traditional braces.

I Am Worried About Bleeding Gums

Bleeding gums don’t always mean you’ll need gum disease therapy. Sometimes, increased oral hygiene efforts at home are an effective way to eliminate the harmful bacteria from your smile. However, if you do need more involved treatment to restore your health, we can help you with safe and comfortable in-office methods and a personalized plan.

I Am Nervous/Scared of The Dentist

We completely understand. Whether it be due to anxiety or negative experiences in the past, many patients are afraid to visit the dentist. With compassionate care and sedation dentistry, you don’t have to feel ill at ease during your appointments at Elevate Dental. Give us a call, and we’ll help you make arrangements for nitrous oxide or oral conscious sedation.

I Am in Pain & Need Help

Please contact our team right away. In most cases, we can see patients experiencing a dental emergency on a same-day basis. We can also provide any necessary first-aid guidance over the phone. In the meantime, try not to panic – we’ll give you prompt diagnosis and treatment!

How We Make Dentistry Affordable

We Welcome Dental Insurance

If you have dental insurance, we recommend making the most of it with regular preventive care including your six-month check-ups and cleanings, as well as any other restorative treatments. Elevate Dental is happy to submit all paperwork and claims on your behalf, and our friendly insurance team will work tirelessly to maximize your benefits, so you get the most from your money and from your smile. If you have any questions about your specific coverage, please don’t hesitate to contact us at your earliest convenience and we’ll be happy to assist you!

We Happily Accept Flexible Financing

Having a tight budget should never prevent you from protecting or improving your smile. That’s why we’re proud to accept flexible payment plans from our preferred third-party financier, CareCredit. These plans allow you to break up the cost of your treatment into multiple, low-to-no-interest monthly payments that may be better suited to your budget, so there’s no need to delay getting the care you need due to financial constraints.
